Supports a variety of environmental initiatives that promote and improve sustainable development practices and the protection of natural areas.
Great Lakes Guardian Community Fund
Funds projects in the Great Lakes regions that
protect water quality for human and ecological health, improve wetlands, beaches and coastal areas and protect habitats and species.
Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority Healthy Waters Program
Promotes projects that improve water quality in streams and protect groundwater in the NVCA watershed. Eligible projects include streamside tree planting, grass/meadow stream buffers, and community stream-side planting.
Ontario Community Environment Fund
Grants for projects that protect and restore local watersheds through community-based restoration, and research, education and outreach for spill prevention and environmental remediation.
Ontario Trillium Foundation
Supports environmental initiatives through the “Green People” action area, prioritizing ecosystem protection & restoration and reduction of environmental impact.
Ontario Wildlife Foundation
Supports conservation projects and the promotion of conservation education.
Ottawa Community Foundation
Funds environmental projects that benefit the Ottawa community, address root causes of issues and cultivate collective action within the community (only for Ottawa).
Patagonia Retail Grants Program
Funds environmental work to protect local habitats and frontline communities through actions that take place near one of Patagonia’s retail stores (Toronto only). Projects should focus on root causes of problems and commit to long-term change.
Sustain Our Great Lakes
Supports programs that benefit fish, wildlife, habitat and water quality in the Great Lakes basin. Priority is given to stream and riparian habitat restoration, coastal wetland habitat and water quality in the Great Lakes and its tributaries.
